Privacy Policy
In accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG, in force since 1 September 2023). We keep it short and readable.
At a glance — what we collect and why
Session cookies (always on)
Technically required for login and security. No consent needed — without these cookies the site does not work. Never shared with third parties.
Interaction tracking (anonymous, no consent needed)
When you click a school, call their phone number, or send a contact form, we record that event anonymously in our own database. No name, no email — just "someone clicked". We never know who you are. This helps us and the schools understand which profiles are working.
Google Maps (only with your consent)
When you activate the map, a Google script loads and Google receives your IP address. We only activate this after you consent — and you can turn it off at any time.
Vercel Analytics + Google Analytics (only with your consent)
Two anonymised analytics services. Vercel: no cookies, no profiling. Google Analytics: your IP address is transmitted to Google. Both only active if you consent.
Google Analytics (only with your consent)
Anonymised page statistics. Google receives your IP address. We only activate this when you consent — and you can deactivate it at any time.

2. What we collect — and what we don't
We do not collect personal data from visitors. When you visit the site, our servers log technical information (IP address, page, browser, timestamp) — this is standard for any web server and necessary for operation.
What we do NOT do: we do not create user profiles, we do not track you across pages, and we do not sell any data.
3. Interaction tracking (leads)
When you interact with a school — clicking their phone number, visiting their website, or sending a contact form — we record that event anonymously in our database.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 31 revDSG). This tracking is necessary to operate the directory and help schools understand their profile performance.

4. Contact form & school registration
If you contact us via the contact form or register a school, we store the data you provide (name, email, message) to process your request. This data is not shared with third parties and is deleted after processing.

6. Cookies
We use two types of cookies:
• Necessary cookies: session cookies for login and security (no consent needed).
• Optional cookies: Google Maps and Vercel Analytics — only with your consent. You can change your choice at any time using the button at the top of this page.
7. Your rights (DSG Art. 25–27)
You have the right to access, rectification and deletion of your data. Since we do not store personal data from visitors, there is generally nothing to delete.
For school owners who have submitted a profile: write to us at hallo@hundeschulen-schweiz.ch and we will handle your request within 72 hours.
8. Data security
The connection to the website is fully HTTPS-encrypted. Our database (Supabase) is secured with Row-Level Security and separate service keys.
